FAPTRAC OVERVIEW:
FAPTRAC is a specialist Education center offering courses in Nursing, Human Nutrition and Food Science, Tourism, Catering and hospitality management, Accounting, Computer Engineering and Textile technology etc. it provides functional skills for effective service in this modern technological world. Our departments offer summer courses for those who can not attend regular classes.
General education is good, but professional education is better. End of course Diplomas are awarded by the Inst5tute of Commercial Management in Britain and the Ministry of Professional Trainning in Cameroon.
Also available at the center are preparatory classes for GCE O/A Level Technical, ENS, ENSET, Evenning Classes for workers who wish to specialise in the above fields are available.
Eglish French and German Languages are also run at the Center.
OBJECTIVES
The principal objective of FABTRAC is to equip learners with special functional skills.
Theses courses give you wide options for careers and provide direct job opportunities in various fields of study.
These job opportunities are available in Cameroon and all over the world e.g. Canada, Britain, U.S.A etc.
LOCATION
All enquiries should be made at FAPTRAC admissions office (CAMPUS A) located at the ground floor of the lone story building facing Mbingo Annex between finance and Ngen’s junction every working day between 8:am and 3:pm.
ACCREDITATION:
FAPTRAC has been duly authorized by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training, bearing authorization No: 021/MINEFOP/SG/DFOP/SDGSF/SACD OF 07 SEPTEMBER 2007. The institution is also ordained by the Law governing C.I.Gs, with registration NO: NW/GP/30/05/906 OF March 28 2005.

INSTITUTE OF HEALTH AND BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES
The purpose of FAPTRAC’S institute of Health and Biomedical Sciences is to provide a scholarly environment in which the students acquire knowledge in Health. Health care and professional Nursing. The graduate is awarded professional Diploma (PD), Higher Diploma (HPD). Higher National Diploma (HND) and National Diploma (ND) in relation to field of study.

THE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS STUDIES AND MANAGEMENT
This department runs one to two years of intensive business studies in the following areas:
- Business Administration
- Business Studies
- Computerized Accounting
- Banking and finance
- Marketing
Students who wish to study in the above mentioned areas at post graduate level may, after work experience enroll for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses organized by London City College Britain.

INSTITUTE FOOD TECHNOLOGY AND TEXCTILE
Home Economics is the study of food, family life education, human resource management, and consumer education at various levels. Areas of study include food and nutrition, food hygiene and food toxication, health, textiles, life skills, consumer studies and child care. Students can study home economics through the three discrete subject areas of food and nutrition, textiles and childcare. Food and nutrition requires an understanding of diet, health, food choices and food processing, as well as knowing how to manage resources and develop relevant appropriate and transferable skills to meet human needs. Home economists are employed in wide range of activities in food industries, publishing, the media, and commerce. In industry, their work may involve testing recipes to be used for new product development, setting up testing panels and verifying food packaging instructions for cooking and reheating, and producing recipe ideas fir packaging. In publishing and the media, the work of the home economists can be diverse and involve developing recipes for magazines and books, preparing food for photography, giving cookery demonstrations at large exhibitions, and answering enquiries about food products.

SCHOOL OF COMPUTER ENGINEERING
FAPTRAC offers intensive training programs in computer hard ware maintenance, Net working, computerized accounting, information processing, and word processing, typewriting, bookkeeping and short hand. With increase use of computers in the workplace, Faptrac has an emphasis in intensive computer training courses for computer operators and programmers in an exciting learning environment of our campus B towards Redeemer Baptist Church opposite Farmers House Mile (3) Nkwen.
In addition, students of Management Information systems learn about the most efficient means of providing data for making business decisions.

DEPARTMENT OF EXTERNAL EXAMINATION
This department runs a one to two years intensive preparation classes for external examinations such as city and Guilds of London Exams, Marketing, Management, Accountancy, Catering and Hotel Management etc. other external examination preparation classes like ACCA, ICM, CIM, are also available.
DEPARTMENT OF LANGUAGES
The school runs intensive language courses for learners of English, French, Spanish and German languages. Also in preparation for official examinations like the GCE, HND, BTS.
OTHER ACTIVITIES:
- Faptrac tours: this department deals with National, International tourist and Provincial tours e.g. various schools wishing to go for excursion can contact Faptrac for necessary arrangements.
- Out door catering: For all occasions like weddings, Birth days, Receptions, Funerals, etc.
- Decoration: Beautiful curtains for Homes and Offices can be produced only in Faptrac. Also contact us if you have and occasion that need decoration.
- Driving: Driving is very necessary for all tourism students. Student pay separate fee for driving.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates with the following qualifications can be admitted:
- First school leaving certificate or testimonial from a recognized institution.
- G.C.E. ‘O’ level in four or more subjects in the relevant combination.
- CAP with relevant subjects in the option of study.
- Grade 1 or 11 teachers’ certificates in relation to the course intended to study.
- Two or more G.C.E ‘A’ level in one or two sittings in the relevant combination.
- Transferred students from recognized professional centers with appropriate transcript and testimonials.
- First Degree and other entry requirements as defined by selected department.
